LOT-O-LOGIC:

Empowering School Psychologists & Mentors

NARRATIVE:

Given the multifaceted challenges kids face today, we must nurture their social and behavioral development, which is crucial. Providing resources that foster healthy social skills development and constructive behavior is essential. Our mission at Lotologic4kids is to promote their well-being and self-empowerment:

  1. Routine Challenges: Children and adolescents encounter daily online and offline situations that test their social and emotional resilience. Peer pressure, negative behaviors, social media, cyberbullying, academic stress, distorted perceptions, adverse childhood experiences (ACE), and family dynamics all play a role. Having the tools to navigate these waters is crucial.

  2. Mitigating Risks: Initiatives that address incorrigibility and juvenile delinquency are vital. Early intervention and proper guidance can mitigate the likelihood of negative outcomes. Prevention is often more effective than disciplining and correcting.

  3. Promoting Well-Being and Self-Empowerment: Our mission resonates deeply when we empower young people by equipping them with the tools to make informed decisions and positive choices. They develop resilience and empathy to create constructive change as they prepare to transition into the adult world.

Lot-O-Logic - The Common Sense Game:

Introduces an innovative approach to "Positive Youth Development Programs" in a     Digital Game-Based Learning Platform (DGBL):

  • It integrates DGBL, Social Constructivism, Cognitive Science, Behavioral Psychology, and Common Sense principles with Artificial intelligence (AI) technology to create dynamic and insightful learning experiences.

  • The interactive metacognitive ("thinking about thinking") methodology challenges children and adolescents to apply critical thinking and empathy to real-world scenarios and outcomes.

  • Kids learn to navigate relevant social challenges to mitigate behavioral risks associated with societal issues and to achieve positive outcomes.

  • Their in-game behavioral choices in thought-provoking Q&A logic puzzles, situations, scenarios, and group discussions reflect their attitudes, literacy, and reasoning skills.

  • The "Attitude Assessments" component reflects in-game choices and responses and augments youth mental health behavioral initiatives.

  • The DGBL platform algorithm aligns with assessment and PYDP evidence-based research initiatives, standards, and outcomes.

Lot-O-Logic goes beyond being just a game. It's a gateway to realigning the moral compass of at-risk and underserved children and adolescents. While it embodies the principles of metacognition and common sense reasoning, it subtly imparts wisdom. We invite collaboration or partnerships on federal or state-funded grant initiatives and opportunities.
